The Email Campaigns Every Realtor® Should be Sending Out
Realtors know just how important it is to keep in touch with their past clients while continuing to prospect new clients. The perfect way to accomplish both of these goals is by sending out Email campaigns. If you’re not sending out a weekly or monthly newsletter, now is the perfect time to start!
Email campaigns are the perfect way to target buyers, sellers, and even local residents. This is just one of many ways that you can segment your client base and send out separate Email campaigns to each group. If you have a general interest email, you can also send out one mass email to your entire client base. It’s important to make sure that you’re including the new leads that you get in the Email campaigns that you send out, not just past clients.
The most common campaign is a general newsletter that you can send to everyone in your database. This newsletter can include local news that isn’t necessarily real estate related, just valuable information that the residents in your area care about. It can also include your featured listings, a home valuation tool, small business highlights, team highlights, and any other information you feel will be valuable to your clients.
Other email campaigns you could use depend on the group you want to target. Another example you could use is sending check-in or referral request Emails to your past clients. Use your CRM to schedule Emails to clients a few months out from closing. These Emails should be friendly and personable. Start by simply asking how they’re doing and even offer a list of service providers that they as new homeowners will find valuable. After they respond to your question asking them how the new home is, you can use this opportunity to ask them for a referral!
An Email campaign that’s perfect for new leads is a welcome Email. After a new lead subscribes to your website, they should immediately receive an automated Email that welcomes them. The Email should be brief, simply setting the expectation for what content they can expect from you and how often you will be sending Emails.
Do you send emails to your database when you hold an open house or have a new listing? If not, you’re missing out on a significant platform to market your listings! You should be sending emails to your entire database when you hold an open house or a client event. You never know who might see your emails and decide to stop by or tell a friend. It’s a great way to stay top of mind!
Another idea that any local resident in your database will enjoy, is sending weekly or bi-weekly emails discussing local news in your area. You can decide how specific you would like to get with the areas you cover. A great idea is to cover a few counties that you do the most of your business in. Send out an email talking about local topics like new construction or new restaurants in these areas. You’ll be surprised how high your open rates will be after sending these emails out for a few weeks!
