5 Real Estate Marketing Ideas for the Summer

The Spring housing market was booming this year, and it’s time to carry that momentum into the summer months. We have compiled a list of 5 real estate marketing ideas you can use this summer:

1. Drop summer themed pop-By’s off.

One of the biggest ways to get business is by getting referrals from previous clients. Try doing something just for your previous clients this summer! Pop-By’s are small flyers or gifts you make to help build a connection with your previous clients and practice top-of-mind marketing. For example, you can attach an ice cream scooper with a flyer designed to fit your branding that says, “call me for the scoop on the current real estate market.” You can mail these flyers, stop by local schools or small business offices, or go door knocking within your farm to help build a stronger connection.

2. Try hosting a neighbor open house.

A neighbor open house is different from the traditional open house because it’s just open to the neighbors! Pick a house you’re selling that has a pool or large open gathering space and host your first neighbor open house. Invite around fifteen to twenty of your seller’s neighbors to this event. You can choose a theme for the open house! For example, if you choose a house with a pool in the Summer, you can make it a pool party. Order some refreshments and hand-deliver the invitations to create the best experience for those who attend. When the neighbors show up you can use this time to get their honest feedback about the house before you host the public open house the next day. The best part is this is also a great way to get referrals! At the beginning of the event, have the attendees register with their emails or phone numbers, and make sure you keep in touch after the event is over. A few of the attendees may see what you did for your client and want your help listing a home of their own in the future.

3. Send out a newsletter.

If you aren’t already sending out a weekly or monthly newsletter, now is the perfect time to start. Start a newsletter where you discuss hyper-local topics and summer events that are happening in your area. You can include monthly market updates and additional features like a home valuation tool. It’s a great way to nurture everyone in your database and get more business in the future!

4. Create a landing page.

This summer try creating a landing page in order to convert some of your website traffic into leads. Some ideas for summer-themed landing pages include pages that show houses with pools or DIY summer projects. In order to view these homes, potential leads will submit their email addresses. This will add new potential clients to your database who have expressed interest in buying or selling a home.

5. Host a summer event.

It’s a great idea to host client events throughout the year, but if you haven’t hosted one yet, the summertime is a great time to start! The best part about hosting events during the Summer is that they can either be held indoors or outdoors. A client event could be a small dinner with a few of your past clients or an outdoor game night. You can invite past clients or even current leads that you’re talking to. The point of client events is to thank your past or future clients for their support and have a fun, light-hearted event. Think about what activities you would enjoy hosting in your area that would allow you to thank your past clients.

The beginning of summer is a great time to revisit your marketing plan for the year and decide what your strategy is for the summer. The ideas mentioned above are simple to implement into any realtor’s marketing plan in order to gain new clients this summer.
